Univ.-Prof. Dr. Patrizia Giampieri-Deutsch is a Professor at the University of Vienna, affiliated with both the Department of Education (Sensengasse 3a, Room O2.04) and the Department of Philosophy (Universitätsstraße 7, Room D0307). She teaches courses such as Philosophy and History of Science in Psychoanalytic Research and Empathy: A multidisciplinary investigation and its relevance to applied ethics, reflecting her research interests in philosophy of science, psychoanalysis, and ethical applications of empathy.
Her research integrates multidisciplinary perspectives, particularly examining the historical foundations of psychoanalytic science and the role of empathy in contemporary ethical frameworks. Office hours for SS 2022 are conducted via telephone by prior appointment.
