Dr. Patrick Wanakuta Baraza is a Senior Lecturer in the Religious Studies Department at Gonzaga University since 2005. An ordained priest from the Diocese of Kitale, Kenya, he specializes in Islamic Studies and African Traditional Religions, teaching courses on African Catholicism and Islamic Civilization.

Baraza has previously taught at Saint Augustine National Seminary (Kenya), Eastern Washington University, and Spokane Community College. He served as a chaplain at Saint Mary's College of California for six years.
