Patrick Vora

Dr. Patrick Vora is an Associate Professor and Director of the Quantum Science and Engineering Center at George Mason University. He holds faculty positions in the Physics & Astronomy Department and focuses on quantum phenomena in low-dimensional materials. His research integrates ultrafast spectroscopy, electronic transport, and magnetic measurements to study 2D materials like graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides, as well as 1D systems such as carbon nanotubes and molecular photonic wires.

Research Interests: Quantum materials, charge density waves, nanoelectronics, and quantum information science. Recent breakthroughs include discoveries in localized excitons and phase transitions in 2D heterostructures.
