Patrick TAN Siong Kuan

Patrick TAN Siong Kuan is a Senior Lecturer of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University (SMU). He holds a PhD in General Management (SMU, 2017), MBA from Brunel University (1996), and B.Bus from the University of Southern Queensland (1992), alongside a Fellow of Chartered Insurance Institute (1991).

His research focuses on Corporate Strategy, Entrepreneurship, International Business, Financial Innovation, and Sustainable Business in the Asian/ASEAN context. He has contributed to strategic knowledge through works like Experiential Approach to Strategy Formulation through Design Thinking (forthcoming).

He has been recognized with a nomination for the SMU-X Excellent Teacher Award (2018) and the Ministry of Education's Service to Education Award (1998). His teaching emphasizes practical applications in strategic management education.
