Patrick Rowan Blackburn is a Professor at Roskilde University's Department of Communication and Arts, affiliated with the Digital Publics and Trust Science Studies Centre for Digital Citizenship. His research spans logic applications in linguistics, cognition, and philosophy, with recent focus on pragmatics, computational linguistics, and Chinese philosophy. He collaborates internationally with institutions like Tsinghua University and the University of Amsterdam. A 30-year academic, he teaches courses in philosophy, digital humanities, and cognitive science, including 'Science and Philosophy' in the Global Humanities program. Blackburn co-leads the 'Digital Humanities/New Digital Worlds' bachelor course and has supervised projects ranging from autism studies to pandemic metaphysics. He actively participates in logic societies like FoLLI and Scandinavian Logic Society, and his work appears in journals like Journal of Symbolic Logic and Mathematical Structures in Computer Science.
