Patrick Meade is a Professor in the C.N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics at Stony Brook University (SBU). He holds a PhD from Cornell University (2006) and has conducted postdoctoral research at Harvard University and the Institute for Advanced Study. His research focuses on Beyond the Standard Model physics, including collider physics, dark matter, supersymmetry, and quantum field theory applications. He actively advocates for future high-energy physics initiatives, particularly the Muon Collider, recognized as a priority in the U.S. P5 roadmap.
Meade’s affiliations include close ties with SBU’s Physics Department, the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics, and Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). He has supervised multiple PhD students and postdocs, co-advising on accelerator physics projects. His work is funded by NSF grants, including PHY-2210533, and a BNL-SBU seed grant for Muon Collider research. Notable recognition includes election as an APS Fellow (2024).
Research interests span theoretical and phenomenological approaches to new physics, with recent work on baryogenesis, thermal QFTs, and resummation techniques. He lectures on advanced topics in particle physics and quantum field theory, and his group develops computational tools like the BRIDGE Monte Carlo framework.
