Patrick Legros

Patrick Legros is a Professor of Economics at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), affiliated with ECARES. His research focuses on contract theory, microeconomics, industrial organization, competition policy, and education policy. He holds a dual PhD in Social Sciences (Caltech, 1989) and Analyse et politique économiques (Université de Paris XII, 1985). He serves as Managing Editor of the Journal of Industrial Economics and has held roles on multiple scientific councils.

His current research on 'Organizational Industrial Organization' is supported by an ERC Advanced Grant. Key contributions include analyses of collusion dynamics, firm boundaries and delegation, education policy impacts, and healthcare economics. His work bridges theoretical insights with practical policy implications in antitrust, organizational design, and social integration.

Legros teaches graduate and intermediate courses in microeconomics, industrial organization, and contract theory.
