Dr. Patrick Ilg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Reading, part of the School of Mathematical, Physical and Computational Sciences. He serves as Admissions Tutor and focuses on soft condensed matter systems, nonequilibrium statistical mechanics, and computer simulations. His research explores polymers, liquid crystals, colloids, and interfaces using methods like Molecular Dynamics and Monte Carlo simulations.
Key research areas include structure-dynamics relationships in supercooled liquids, magnetoviscosity in ferrofluids, and coarse-graining techniques.
