معرفی
Patrick Holt is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Western Australia (UWA), affiliated with the UWA Medical School and the UWA Centre for Child Health Research (part of The Kids Research Institute Australia). His research focuses on immunological mechanisms underlying childhood respiratory diseases, vaccine responses, and genetic factors influencing atopic conditions. He has collaborated on major studies including vaccine efficacy trials, immune dysfunction in wheezing children, and genomic analyses of atopic dermatitis.
Key projects include investigations into pertussis vaccination impacts, immune recognition in early life, and asthma trajectory markers. He leads multi-center studies on pediatric immunomodulation and has contributed to grants totaling over 37 funded projects since 2015. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being, particularly maternal, child, and adolescent health (SDG 3).
Research interests span pediatric immunology, allergy development, and translational vaccinology. His recent studies emphasize systemic immune regulation in atopic diseases, influenza immune responses, and vaccine co-administration effects. Over 373 publications and 2 datasets highlight his contributions to understanding respiratory health and immune programming in children.
