Patrick Eldridge

Dr. Patrick Eldridge is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John, Canada. He holds a PhD from KU Leuven (University of Leuven), Belgium, with prior degrees including MA, MPhil, BHum, and BA from Carleton University, Canada. His research focuses on Phenomenology and Post-Kantian European Philosophy, with specializations in the phenomenology of memory, aesthetics, and the history of phenomenological movements. He has translated significant philosophical works from French and German into English. Eldridge has presented at international conferences such as the Society for Phenomenology and Existential Philosophy and the Canadian Philosophical Association. His edited volumes include Early Phenomenology in Central and Eastern Europe (2020).

His academic career includes a visiting researcher position at the University of Oregon and lectures on topics like Levinas and Heidegger. Key research themes include Husserl’s theories of memory, intersubjective constitution of media, and phenomenological approaches to image-consciousness.
