Patrick Duffy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), affiliated with the College of Medicine. His primary role involves addressing substance abuse and co-occurring challenges such as mood disorders and family difficulties, serving both adults and adolescents through the Center for Drug and Alcohol Programs.
Dr. Duffy holds a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University, a master’s in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University, and a PsyD from the University of Denver. His career includes diverse roles: internships at the Charleston Consortium, work in community mental health centers, psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, and a Vice-President position with MST Services, an evidence-based practice for juvenile offenders. He has extensive international experience, having consulted, spoken, and trained therapists across 17 U.S. states and 7 countries.
