Patrick Buchfink

Patrick Buchfink is a Researcher specializing in structure-preserving model order reduction and numerical analysis. He was affiliated with the University of Stuttgart's Institute of Applied Analysis and Numerical Simulation (within the Numerical Mathematics working group) until January 2024, when he joined the University of Twente. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Simulation Technology from the University of Stuttgart (2012–2018).

His research focuses on developing symplectic model reduction techniques for Hamiltonian systems, with applications in computational mechanics and uncertainty quantification.
