Patrick Bernatzky, Ph.D., is a researcher at the University of Salzburg and coordinator of the Austrian Federal Network for Sports Psychology (ÖBS) Salzburg. He is affiliated with the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Department of Sports Psychology and Sociology.
His research focuses on sports psychology, biofeedback, and mental training in sports contexts, including work with individual athletes and teams. He has delivered lectures, seminars, and coaching programs since 1996, emphasizing goal-oriented methodologies and applications in elite sports disciplines like biathlon, alpine skiing, and judo.
Since 1997, he has served as a scientific collaborator at the University of Salzburg and is a member of the Society of Neuroscience. He co-founded the Heidelberg Institute for Mental Training (HIM) and holds certifications as a life/social counselor and state-certified ski instructor.
