Patricia Scarampi

Patricia Scarampi is a Professor of Instruction in French at Northwestern University. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain), alongside degrees from Université de Nice (Licence in Spanish Philology), Universidad de Barcelona (Licenciatura in French Philology), and Universidad de Alicante (Master's in Translation and Interpreting). She co-authored the Spanish textbook A que sí and has published articles on foreign language pedagogy and translation.

Her research focuses on Foreign Language Pedagogy, Second Language Acquisition, Applied Linguistics, Phonetics, and Sociolinguistics. She teaches French language and culture courses, including French Phonetics and Foreign Language Teaching methodologies. She oversees pedagogical training and supervision of Teaching Assistants and serves on the Council on Language Instruction (CLI).
