Dr. Patricia Rinck is affiliated with the Faculty of Sociology at Universität Bielefeld, where she previously served as a Research Associate in the field of politics and society. She represents Dr. Thomas Müller (retired) within the department. Her doctoral research, completed in 2022 at the University of Duisburg-Essen, focused on 'Peacebuilding and exclusion in Sierra Leone: a feminist perspective on political settlements and post-conflict transformation.' Since 2020, she has been an Associate Editor of the Journal of Intervention and Statebuilding. Her work emphasizes feminist approaches to understanding peacebuilding dynamics, political settlements, and the intersections of gender, power, and post-conflict transformation. Rinck has also engaged in research projects at institutions like the Käte Hamburger Kolleg (Centre for Global Cooperation Research) and the Institute for Development and Peace (INEF), exploring topics such as local and international perspectives in peacebuilding initiatives. Her research contributes to critical analyses of exclusionary practices within peace processes and the role of gender in political transitions.
