Patricia ROCHWERT-ZUILI is a Professor of Medieval Spanish Literature and Civilization at the Université d’Artois, affiliated with the UFR de Langues. She holds a Doctorate (1998) and an Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (2009) from Paris 13 and Paris-Sorbonne. Her research focuses on medieval Castilian historiography, the figure of El Cid, and medieval women’s political roles, particularly Queen María de Molina. She directs the electronic journal L'Entre-deux and coordinates major international projects like MISSIVA (study of medieval women’s correspondence).
