Patricia Couto

Patricia Couto is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Dental Medicine of Universidade Católica Portuguesa and a researcher at the Precision Oral Health Platform: 4-All Lab within the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Health (CIIS). Her academic credentials include a Master's degree in Dental Medicine (2013), a postgraduate in Oro-Maxillofacial Pathology (2014), and a PhD in Biomedicine (2018).

Her research focuses on identifying oral health challenges in special populations, particularly the elderly and individuals with intellectual disabilities, and evaluating their impact on quality of life. She emphasizes epidemiological assessments, resource allocation for patient needs, and systematic monitoring of public health priorities.

Patricia Couto has contributed to numerous scientific publications and abstracts presented at national and international conferences. She also teaches Oral Medicine and Gerodontology at Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
