Patricia Burrell

Patricia Burrell, Ph.D., APRN APMHCNS-BC, CNE, is a Professor in the Department of Nursing at Hawaii Pacific University. With over 40 years of experience in nursing, she specializes in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing, Transcultural Nursing, and Complementary & Alternative Medicine (CAM), while contributing to healthcare policy and research at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

• Education: Post-Doctorate in Analytic Psychology, C.G. Jung Institute Zurich; Ph.D. in Transcultural/Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing, University of Utah; MSN in Psychosocial Nursing, University of Hawaii at Manoa; BSN in Nursing, Northeastern University.

Research interests include Transcultural Self-Efficacy, CAM, and the Interactive Field in Nursing. Her work bridges interdisciplinary approaches with mental health and transcultural competencies.
