Patrice Geoffron

Patrice Geoffron is a university professor of economics at Paris Dauphine University, leading the energy-climate team within the LEDa laboratory. He previously served as provisional administrator of the university (2020), international vice-president of LEDa, and contributed to global energy policy councils such as the International Energy Economics Association. His research focuses on energy-telecom convergence, climate action evaluation, and blockchain applications in economics. He has held visiting professorships at Bocconi University, Fudan University, Tokyo University, and others. Geoffron is co-editor of Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment and sits on scientific councils for CEA, CRE, and Engie.

His awards include the 1991 Thesis Prize from the National Association of Doctors of Economic Sciences and the 2012 Prize from the Association of Energy Economists. Beyond academia, he advised the Citizens' Climate Convention and KAPSARC. His recent work addresses energy crisis mechanisms, climate transition planning, and green economic recovery strategies.
