Patric Eberle

Patric Eberle is a Professor and Head of the Sensor & Health Technologies research group at the Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture (HSLU). He holds a BSc from ZHAW and MSc/PhD degrees from ETH Zurich, specializing in Micro/Nanosystems and Thermo-/Nanofluidics. His research focuses on advanced sensor technology, photonics, microfluidics integrated with AI, and biomedical applications. He leads interdisciplinary projects like Sorthodisc (stem cell isolation) and BODYGUARD (sensor-triggered dialog systems). He has held industry roles at Bruker AG, SKF AG, and Balluff AG, transitioning research into practical innovations. Notable achievements include ETH Pioneer Fellow (2016) and patents in sensor technologies. Eberle collaborates with industry and academic partners to develop solutions in healthcare and automation.
