Pasquale Sorgonà

Pasquale Sorgonà is a State Police Director currently serving as Deputy Police Chief of Pescara. With 15 years of experience leading regional Postal Police offices (Friuli Venezia Giulia, Abruzzo, Molise) and prior work at Rome's Central Criminal Police Directorate, he is an internationally recognized expert in cybercrime investigations. Holding the EU TOPSPOC designation and accredited as a Europol national expert, he has led major international operations against credit card fraud, earning recognition from Italian, European, and US authorities.

His research focuses on:

• Cybersecurity frameworks and cybercrime methodologies
• Information security systems and intelligence analysis
• Internet risk mitigation and GDPR implementation
• Privacy compliance and cross-border legal cooperation

A frequent speaker at global cybersecurity conferences, he lectures at multiple universities on Computer Forensics and Information Security. He serves on the Steering Committee for the Master's in Software Systems Security and the Board of Directors for the Master's in Computer Security and Forensic Analysis at the University of Molise. Previously, he contributed to Master's programs at the University of Teramo and remains active in Abruzzo Region's Permanent Scientific Committee for Security and Legality Policies.
