Pasquale Di Raddo, PhD is Professor of Physical Sciences in the College of Arts, Sciences and Education at Ferris State University. He earned both his B.S. in Biochemistry and Ph.D. in Chemistry from McGill University.
Research & Scholarship: Professor Di Raddo’s core expertise lies in organic chemistry with particular emphasis on polycyclic aromatic compounds, where he has developed mechanistic insights into the synthesis of benzanthrone and violanthrone. More recently, his work has expanded into chemical education and public engagement, using creative vehicles such as poetry on chemical themes and cartoon imagery for laboratory-safety instruction.

- Douglas Fonner Award for Outstanding Faculty Advisor (2004)
- Outstanding Registered Student Organization Advisor of the Year (2005)
- Ferris State University Distinguished Teacher Award (2006)
Undergraduate Research & Outreach: Professor Di Raddo actively mentors undergraduate researchers and has guided the ACS student chapter to national recognition, including Green Chemistry Chapter status and an Outstanding Chapter Award (2006–07). He frequently delivers campus lectures through the Humanities Colloquium and has presented posters on topics ranging from wartime propaganda in cartoons to chemistry poetry at venues in Michigan, Rome, and beyond.
