Paschalis Alexandridis

Paschalis Alexandridis is a UB Distinguished Professor at the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, University at Buffalo, with an affiliate appointment in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering. He has mentored over 90 graduate and 85 undergraduate students and held leadership roles including Director of Graduate Studies and Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education.

His research focuses on self-assembly, directed assembly, and environmentally responsible solvents for applications in PFAS separations, plastics recycling, and biomass processing. Current projects explore molecular interactions in polymer-surfactant systems and sustainable solvent technologies.

Recent publications highlight trends in plastic waste conversion, PFAS remediation, and biopolymer behavior, emphasizing solution thermodynamics, interface science, and nanomaterial structuring.
