Pascale Crama

Pascale Crama is a Full-time Professor of Operations Management and Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programmes) at the Lee Kong Chian School of Business (LKCSB), Singapore Management University (SMU). She holds a Ph.D. in Management Science and Operations from London Business School (2007), an MSc in Business Economics and Engineering from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (2002), and a BSc in Business Economics from Katholieke Universiteit Brussel (1999).

Her research focuses on R&D project management, applications of contract theory in operations, and project portfolio optimization. She has pioneered work on licensing contracts for R&D collaborations, subcontracting models in construction, and strategic alliance design for innovation. Her research integrates contract design principles with operational challenges in industries ranging from healthcare to biotechnology.

Awarded the Lee Kong Chian Fellowship (2017, 2020, 2021) and the Meritorious Service Award by the Manufacturing & Services Operations Management Journal (2016, 2019), Crama has also received recognition for case studies on R&D project management at Novartis and Phytopharm. Her work bridges academic rigor and practical impact, addressing real-world challenges in supply chains and innovation ecosystems.
