Pascal LE FLOC'H is a Senior Lecturer in Economic Sciences at the University of Western Brittany, holding a Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR). He is a Deputy Director of the UMR AMURE research unit and affiliated with the IUT Quimper campus. His career spans economics, fisheries management, and regional development, with contributions to peer-reviewed journals and collaborative projects across Europe.

His research focuses on fisheries economics, maritime resource management, and regional development, particularly examining economic performance indicators, vulnerability in fisheries, and the socio-economic impacts of environmental changes. Recent publications analyze the effects of the 2020 lockdown on fish markets, spatial competition between fisheries and offshore wind, and diversification strategies in post-crisis island economies.
LE FLOC'H has supervised several PhD candidates, including Soazig Lalancette (2015-2018) and Raphaela Le Gouvello (2015-2018), and coordinated a €156,000 Fondation de France project (2018-2021) on coastal territories. He co-led the multidisciplinary ATLANTILES project (2018-2021) involving 12 researchers and a research engineer, integrating economics, geography, and marine biology.
He has held administrative roles since 2002, including department head (2011-2014, 2017-2019) and pedagogical leadership positions. He has also participated in EU-funded projects (ANR, Labex) and international research collaborations, emphasizing the spatial dimension of fisheries management and cross-sectoral governance challenges.
