Pascal Bohleber

Prof. Dr. Pascal Bohleber is a Professor for Cryospheric Sciences at the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI) in Bremerhaven, Germany. His primary affiliation is with the Glaciology department under the Geosciences school. His research focuses on paleoclimate reconstruction using polar and alpine ice cores, signal preservation in ice cores, ice chemistry, and advanced analytical techniques like laser ablation inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS).

He contributes to ice core laboratories and related infrastructure at AWI, including work on ice core chemistry and environmental signal interpretation. His expertise spans glaciological fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and climate modeling applications.
