معرفی
Dr. Parveen Fatemeh Rupani is a Research Fellow in Agricultural Nutrient Management at Cranfield University’s Centre for Soil, Agrifood and Biosciences. She holds a PhD in Environmental Technology from Universiti Sains Malaysia, focusing on vermicomposting of palm oil mill wastes. Her expertise spans biomass and waste management, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability.
Education:
- PhD in Environmental Technology, Universiti Sains Malaysia (2019)
- Various international research collaborations in China and Belgium, focusing on biodegradation and nutrient recovery.
Research Interests: Dr. Rupani’s work centers on sustainable waste management, soil health, and nutrient cycling. Key areas include vermicomposting technology for organic waste valorization, anaerobic fermentation for biohydrogen production, and the development of eco-friendly fertilisers derived from carbon-capture technologies. She explores earthworm microbiome roles in contaminant removal and lignocellulosic biomass utilization for soil enrichment and energy recovery.
Grants and Collaborations:
- Current project: Transformation through zero-carbon fertilisers to enhance soil carbon sequestration.
- Contributions to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 2, 7, 15).
Labs/Teams: Affiliated with Cranfield’s AgriFood research cluster and collaborates internationally on soil health and waste-to-resource initiatives.
