Paria Suva

Paria Suva is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ), conducting advanced research in organic chemistry with emphasis on asymmetric catalysis and radical reaction mechanisms. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Regensburg (Germany) and is supported by the prestigious CELLEX Programme fellowship.

Her primary research interests include Organic Chemistry, Asymmetric Catalysis, Radical Chemistry, Synthetic Chemistry, and Catalysis. Her work focuses on developing innovative synthetic methodologies for constructing complex molecular architectures, particularly through radical-based approaches and iminium ion chemistry.

Dr. Suva's research output demonstrates significant contributions to catalytic methodology development, with her 2016 Nature publication representing a breakthrough in quaternary carbon center formation. Her work shows consistent emphasis on sustainable catalytic processes and novel reaction design within organic synthesis.

Supported by the CELLEX Programme fellowship, she actively utilizes ICIQ's state-of-the-art facilities including Chemical Reaction Technologies and Photophysics Spectroscopy laboratories. Her collaborative research integrates with ICIQ's core mission in sustainable catalysis and molecular medicine.
