Paraskevas Kipouros is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Portsmouth, affiliated with the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance within the Faculty of Business & Law. He holds a PhD in Economics (University of Surrey, 2018), an MSc in Energy Economics and Policy (University of Surrey, 2012), and a BSc in Economics (University of Macedonia, Greece, 2010).
His research focuses on Energy and Environmental Economics and Policy, particularly analyzing energy efficiency, renewable energy drivers, and sustainable development in developing countries. He employs empirical tools like stochastic frontier analysis and econometric modeling. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to affordable and clean energy, climate action, and sustainable cities.
Teaching responsibilities include Contracts, Market Competition, Industrial Organization, and Econometrics. Previously, he served as an Associate Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London and a Teaching Assistant at the University of Surrey.
