Paras Prasad

Dr. Paras Prasad is SUNY Distinguished Professor at University at Buffalo with joint appointments in Chemistry (College of Arts & Sciences) and Electrical Engineering (School of Engineering). As Director of the Institute for Lasers, Photonics, and Biophotonics, he leads cutting-edge research.

Research: Pioneers nanostructured photonic materials for applications in biophotonics, nonlinear optics, and nanomedicine. Develops advanced materials like chiral plasmonic nanocomposites and lanthanide nanoscintillators.
