Dr. Paolo Vargiu is an Associate Professor at the University of Leicester's Leicester Law School, specializing in international law, legal theory, and law and religion. He holds degrees from the Universities of Cagliari (JD), Nottingham (LLM and PhD), and Leicester (PGCHE). His research focuses on investment arbitration ethics, human rights, disability rights, and environmental law. An independent arbitrator, he also explores the intersections between law, religion, and global governance.
Key research interests include the ethical dimensions of investment arbitration, the legal protection of religious minorities, and the evolution of international legal frameworks. His work critiques current practices in international dispute resolution and advocates for more inclusive legal systems.
