Paolo Paganetti

Paolo Paganetti is an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, Università della Svizzera italiana (USI). He leads the Laboratory for Aging Disorders at the LRT EOC in Bellinzona, Switzerland. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative disorders (e.g., Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s) and cancer, emphasizing protein misfolding, lysosomal dysfunction, and Tau protein biology. He has extensive industry experience, including roles at Novartis and AC Immune SA, and mentors early-career scientists in biomedical research.
