Paolo Giannoni is an Associate Professor at the Department of Experimental Medicine, University of Genova. He teaches courses including Animal Biology, Gene Therapy, and General Genetics across various Master's programs such as Pharmacy, Medical-Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, and Nursing.
- Animal Biology (BIOLOGIA ANIMALE)
- Gene Therapy (TERAPIA CELLULARE E GENICA)
- General Genetics (GENETICA GENERALE)
His research focuses on biomedical applications of nanotechnology, particularly magnetoelectric nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery and electrical activation in microvascular systems. He investigates cytotoxicity of nano-vesicles in neuroblastoma cells and develops in vitro models for lung diseases like pulmonary fibrosis.
In recent publications, he explores computational modeling of nanoparticle-induced cytokine neutralization, selective cytotoxicity mechanisms, and multiphysics analysis of nanoparticle behavior in microvascular environments.
