Dr. Pantelis Kazakis is a Lecturer in Finance at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow, specializing in Corporate Finance and Taxation. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Economics in Prague. He holds a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University (2016) and a B.Sc. from the University of Ioannina (2009). His research focuses on corporate taxation, banking, entrepreneurship, and regional economic dynamics. Key publications include studies on CEO behavior, tax avoidance strategies, and the impact of migration on labor markets.
Research interests span corporate finance, labor finance, innovation, and public finance. Notable awards include the 2022 Best Paper Award at FMARC and multiple research grants from the University of Glasgow. He actively supervises doctoral students exploring topics like green finance, digital economy taxation, and tax systems' impact on firms. Teaching includes Corporate Finance and International Financial Management courses.
