Dr Panayiotis Papakyriakou is a Lecturer in Finance within the Business School at the University of Southampton. He joined the Department of Banking and Finance in 2016 and has published extensively in top-tier journals like the Journal of Financial Economics and European Financial Management.

His research spans empirical corporate finance, asset pricing, and behavioral finance. Recent work explores pension underfunding, cryptocurrency volatility, and investor sentiment dynamics during financial crises and geopolitical events.
