Pamela Martin is a Professor of Psychology and African American Studies at the University of South Carolina, affiliated with the McCausland College of Arts and Sciences. She holds a B.S. from the University of South Carolina, M.A. from North Carolina Central University, and a Ph.D. in Ecological/Community Psychology and Urban Studies from Michigan State University. Her research focuses on church-based health interventions, theological orientations, and racial socialization among African Americans. She has extensive administrative experience, including roles as Associate Dean and Department Head at Prairie View A&M University and North Carolina Central University.
