Pamela Hoppe is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Western Michigan University. Her research focuses on cell biology and developmental genetics using the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans as a model organism. She investigates proteins critical for muscle cytoskeleton formation and maintenance, particularly the UNC-82 kinase protein. Her work is supported by the National Science Foundation.
Lab and Research: The Hoppe lab employs molecular genetics and cell biology techniques to study striated muscle cells. Current projects aim to elucidate the functional role of UNC-82 kinase in muscle contractile apparatus organization and its potential roles in other tissues.
Contact: Located in Wood Hall (Room 3171), she can be reached at (269) 387-5628 or via email.
