Pamela Giustinelli is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Bocconi University, with adjunct affiliations at the University of Michigan's Survey Research Center. She holds editorial responsibilities as Associate Editor at The Economic Journal. Her academic background includes a PhD in Economics from Northwestern University, an MSc from Bocconi University, and a BA from the University of Verona.
Her research explores uncertainty, heterogeneity, and measurement in microeconomics, focusing on how subjective expectations influence decision-making in education, family, health, labor, and climate change contexts. Current projects examine COVID-19 risk perceptions in the UK/Italy and climate education in secondary schools.
Giustinelli maintains active affiliations with multiple research networks including IGIER, LEAP, CovidCrisisLab, GRINS Foundation, University of Oslo's DoPE Project, University of Essex's ESRC-MiSoC, University of Chicago's HCEO, and University of York's HEDG.
