Pam ten Broeke is an Assistant Professor in Health Psychology at Leiden University's Department of Health, Medical, and Neuropsychology. Her research focuses on psychological processes underlying health behavior and behavior change, with particular emphasis on temporal dynamics, habits, and sedentary behavior. She collaborates with the Health Campus The Hague on interdisciplinary projects.
Education: PhD from Radboud University (Behavioral Science Institute), MSc in Social and Health Psychology from Utrecht University, and BSc in Psychology from Utrecht University. She teaches health promotion, behavior change, and sedentary behavior across psychology programs and interdisciplinary initiatives like Urban Studies and Population Health Management.
Research themes include socioeconomic influences on health goals, habit-goal interactions, and dynamic sit-stand patterns in clinical and occupational settings. She employs innovative methods to study long-term health behavior trajectories and interventions.
