Pam Morgan is Professor of Environmental Studies at the University of New England. She teaches field-based courses including Gulf of Maine Field Studies, Wetland Conservation and Ecology, and Climate Change Adaptation, emphasizing experiential learning and community engagement.
Morgan researches wetland responses to climate change, focusing on salt marsh restoration, coastal resilience, and plant ecology in Maine's Saco River estuary and campus forests. Current projects include collaborative salt marsh restoration with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Her publications analyze tidal marsh dynamics, invasive species management, and climate impacts on wetland ecosystems. Research consistently addresses conservation applications in northeastern coastal environments.
Morgan serves on municipal climate task forces and boards including The Climate Initiative, promoting youth engagement in climate solutions.
