Pam McDaniel is a Professor and Coordinator of the BFA Acting program at Western Connecticut State University's School of Visual, Performing, and Communication Arts. She specializes in Acting, Directing, and Performing Shakespeare, with extensive experience in theatre production and education.
Notable productions she has directed at WCSU include Major Barbara, Sweeney Todd, The Cherry Orchard (which received a Merit award at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival), and Kiss Me Kate. She also adapted and directed A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Merry Wives of Windsor with support from the President's Initiative Fund Grant. Prior to WCSU, she produced and directed theatre in San Francisco and Dallas/Ft. Worth, co-founding the Annual Working Women Festival in San Francisco.
Educational Background:
- M.F.A. in Directing from the University of Texas-Austin
- Additional studies at San Francisco's American Conservatory Theatre, London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and Actors Theatre of Louisville
