Pam Luecke

Pam Luecke is a Professor of Business Journalism and Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications at Washington and Lee University. She holds a B.A. in Philosophy (Carleton College, 1974), an M.S. in Journalism (Northwestern University, 1975), and an M.B.A. (University of Hartford, 1979). Her career bridges philosophy, journalism, and business, emphasizing critical thinking and ethical reporting. She researches women’s roles in journalism, notably documenting the life of Kay Fanning, a pioneering female editor at the Christian Science Monitor. Luecke advocates for liberal arts education as foundational for adaptability in evolving media landscapes.
