معرفی
Dr. Paige Strudwick is a Research Fellow at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), affiliated with the Climate Change Cluster and the Future Reefs Research Group. Her work focuses on coral reef restoration, bacterial community dynamics, and enhancing reef resilience under climate change. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Biology from the University of Nottingham.
Her research explores methods to optimize coral propagation and out-planting practices on the Great Barrier Reef, with a particular emphasis on the impacts of restoration techniques on coral-associated microbiota. She investigates protective interventions like shading and nursery relocation during bleaching events to improve coral survival.
Key funded projects include the Coral Nurture Program Cairns Extension (2024–2027) and the ACRS Terry Walker Award (2022), supporting field studies on Australian coral reefs. Her work bridges microbial ecology, restoration engineering, and climate adaptation strategies.
Scientific contributions span coral elementome dynamics, plastic-free restoration materials, and clonal diversity in Acropora species. She collaborates extensively on interdisciplinary projects to advance reef conservation and management practices.
