Paige S. Warren serves as Professor and Department Head of Environmental Conservation in the School of Earth and Sustainability at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, with her office located in Holdsworth Hall 205.

Dr. Warren's research investigates biological diversity in human-dominated landscapes, focusing on urbanization's impacts across species, community, and landscape levels. Her work challenges conventional urbanization metrics by emphasizing how human behaviors, values, and resource consumption patterns shape wildlife habitats and resource availability, particularly for birds and other organisms. She leverages urban environments as natural laboratories to study human-altered biodiversity and behavioral constraints on animal distributions.

Leading an active research laboratory, she addresses critical conservation challenges posed by rapidly expanding cities—where urban areas grow faster than human populations—providing unique insights for sustainable urban planning and wildlife management strategies.
