Paige Padgett Wermuth

Paige Padgett Wermuth, PhD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, Policy & Community Health at the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health. Her work focuses on qualitative research methods, sexual health, sexually transmitted infections, and health disparities among sexual and gender minorities (MSM and transgender populations) and high-risk HIV populations (e.g., injection drug users, sex workers). She is affiliated with the Center for Health Systems Research, Policy, and Practice.

Her research explores the intersection of social media (Facebook, dating apps) and sexual health interventions. As co-investigator for Houston's National HIV Behavioral Surveillance (NHBS) project since 2013, she contributes to longitudinal studies addressing behavioral epidemiology and prevention strategies.
