Padraic Dunne

Dr. Padraic Dunne is a Senior Lecturer at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), based in the Centre for Positive Health Sciences. He holds dual expertise as an immunologist and practicing psychotherapist, with a focus on integrating lifestyle medicine and positive psychology into health coaching programs. His academic roles include co-directing the MSc in Positive Health Coaching and directing the online Certificate in Lifestyle Medicine.

• Education: PhD in Immunology (UCL), MSc in Tumour Endocrinology (Dublin Institute of Technology), and additional qualifications in counseling/psychotherapy and biomedical sciences.
• Research: Focuses on digital health interventions, health coaching platforms, and the intersection of mental and physical well-being. Key areas include chronic disease management, healthcare worker resilience, and youth mental health.

Dr. Dunne has secured grants totaling over €2M, including projects on AI-augmented health coaching platforms (Coach Connect) and community health initiatives. He is a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and serves on editorial boards for journals in integrative medicine and psychology.

Teaching spans leadership modules in healthcare resilience, global health, and immunology. He has authored/co-authored over 80 publications, emphasizing digital health innovation and positive health frameworks.
