Padmini Veerapen is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Tennessee Tech University, specializing in noncommutative algebra and its geometric applications. She earned her B.S. in Psychology & Philosophy, M.S., and Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Arlington. Her research focuses on classifying quadratic algebras using noncommutative algebraic geometry techniques, exploring notions of rank in noncommutative forms, and studying invariant theory in quadratic AS-regular algebras.
Her work integrates noncommutative algebra with geometry, particularly through skew Clifford algebras and deformation quantization. She has supervised four Master’s theses and collaborates internationally on projects involving twists of algebras and Hopf algebra structures. Recent research includes exploring graded Morita invariants and quantum group comodule algebras. Veerapen has been funded by grants from the AMS, AWM, and MSRI, and actively participates in conferences and workshops.
