Pablo Koch-Medina is an Associate Professor of Finance and Insurance and Head of the Department of Finance at the University of Zurich (UZH). He is a faculty member of the Swiss Finance Institute and Director of the Center for Finance and Insurance, which bridges finance and insurance research. Before joining academia, he spent over 20 years in the finance and insurance industry.
Research Interests: His work focuses on mathematical finance, financial economics, risk management, and insurance. Key themes include asset-liability management, valuation of insurance liabilities, and regulatory frameworks in financial markets. He emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches combining theoretical finance with practical insurance applications.
