معرفی
Pablo García Miranda is a Full Professor in the Department of Physiology at the University of Seville, Faculty of Pharmacy. His primary research focuses on Intestine-Brain Pathophysiology and Reelin Signaling System in intestinal and neurological contexts. He leads projects on creatine's role in brain-gut barriers and neuroinflammation associated with Alzheimer’s disease. He has extensive involvement in educational innovation, notably developing @fisiofarma_us, an Instagram-based learning tool, and integrating AI into physiology education.
Prof. Miranda holds research grants including PID2023-147372OB-I00 (nutritional creatine supplementation) and PID2019-105632RB-I00 (creatine for neuroprotection). He has directed doctoral theses like José Manuel Serrano Morales' work on Reelin and colon cancer. His research spans diverse areas including intestinal physiology, molecular pathology, and medical education technology.
- Key Projects:
- Nutritional supplementation with creatine in brain-gut barriers (PID2023-147372OB-I00)
- Creatine as a nutritional supplement against neuroinflammation (PID2019-105632RB-I00)
- Reelin Signaling System in intestinal pathophysiology (P10-CTS-5884)
- Teaching Innovation:
- Developed @fisiofarma_US social media platform for physiology education
- Integrated mobile apps and AI tools into laboratory assessments
His research has produced over 70 peer-reviewed publications, with recent focus on neuroinflammation mechanisms, intestinal homeostasis, and AI-driven pedagogy. He also holds a patent for creatine-based gliosis treatment (2023).
Lab affiliations include the BIO-144 Research Group and collaborations across multidisciplinary teams in physiology, oncology, and medical education.
