Pablo Frau Burón

Dr. Pablo Frau Burón is a Tenured Contract Senior Lecturer at the University of Balearic Islands (UIB), affiliated with the Philosophy Area group of teachers and researchers. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from UIB and a Licentiate Royal Schools of Music (LRSM) in Music Direction from ABRSM, London, UK.

His research focuses on aesthetics, contemporary philosophy, and the intersection of technology and art. Key themes include the works of Michel Foucault, Theodor Adorno's critical theory, psychoanalysis, and the transformative role of technology in artistic audiovisuality.

He has published internationally in journals like Pensamiento and Estudios Filosóficos, addressing topics such as Foucault's self-writing practices, Adorno's theories of musical expressionism, and the cultural implications of technological change.

As part of the Modern and Contemporary Thought (EPOCHE) research group, he contributes to debates on present-day philosophy and esthetics. His teaching spans courses in aesthetics, philosophy methods, and final degree projects across undergraduate and master's programs at UIB.
